Bromeliad (bromeliad guzmania)
The Bromeliads are wonderful exotic plants for indoor use that will addcolor to any interior. To clean the rich foliage and brightly coloredcenter, simply use clean water and a soft cloth. Over time the Bromeliadwill begin to put out new plants or what we call "bonsai pups" from itsbase. These new plants can be separated when they become 1/2" - 3/4"tall. The new Bromeliads will flower if given sufficient light. Afterflowering the Bromeliad should be placed in the shade in a humidenvironment such as on a humidity tray with water added. 3 years old. 6" tall. Suitable 4.5"x6.5' humidity tray is recommended. Lady Palm (rhapis exelsa)
Most everyone agrees Lady Palm is one of the finest premium indoorbonsai that you could own. With almost no indoor care, Rhapis Excelsa ishappy and healthy giving owners years of lush tropical indoor greenery.This is an expensive palm as propagation is limited and costly becauseinitial growth is slow causing Lady Palm premium prices to be the norm.Native to southern China, Lady Palm grows in clumps of thin stems eachcovered with woven palm fibers(instead of seeing wood). This coveredappearance can extend the entire length of each stem. Lady Palm is aslow grower and also slow in new stem production. It "goes with theflow" of conditions as it is widely adaptable to low or moderatelighting conditions, and amazingly, dry air is no problem either. LadyPalm leaves are palmate in shape and are deeply divided in 4-10 segmentsending in a blunt end, whereas almost all other palms end in pointedtips. Lady Palm foliage is very shiny and very green, especially inshade or indoors. Too much sun bleaches leaves to a less desirablelighter color.
