Mica Pota are made of 80% mica, 15% polyethelene and 5% graphite. Micahas a natural ability to stabilize the temperature of the soil in thepots. This promotes healthy root activity during the growing season andprotects during the cold periods. The polyethelene bonds raw materialstogether and makes the pots tough and durable. Therefore the pots seldombreak. Graphite gives color and prevents discoloring. Mica pots havethe appearance of high quality unglazed ceramic pots but they are muchless expensive. 19.5"x11.25"x2.0". Podocarpus (podocarpus macrophyllus)
AKA Buddhist Pine or Chinese Yew. Podocarpus is a dense evergreen with pointed, leathery, dark green leaves arranged on stiff, symmetrical branches. The tree which is unisexual, has male flowers in cones and female flowers composed of cylindrical thickened scales. The fruits often edible, are pedunculate, fleshy and brightly colored. New foliage comes in a light green color that turns darker with age. Our trees are trained in the traditional bonsai style. Japanese Green Laceleaf Maple - 32" x 24" x 46" (acer palmatum dissectum 'green mist')
Dissectum is a variety that has finely cut foliage. This Laceleaf is anexcellent mid-green Japanese Maple tree of great vigor and habit. Thebranching pattern is beautifully balanced. The color and fineness of thefoliage give it that soft misty look of spring. We left some of thefoliage below the graft on the understock so you can see the differencein foliage. Ficus-Stone Landscape Scene with Fishing Pole (ficus compacta)
The rocks selected for this unusual arrangement are imported and washed in acid, making them strikingly unique. We then cut and cement the rocks to one side of the pot, leaving an ample well between them to hold water. A ceramic bridge is cemented to the rocks on either side. A miniature, glazed mud figurine which overlooks the water is also added and cemented in place. To complete the scene, a pagoda figurine is cemented to the stone located above the bridge. On the opposite side of this restful scene, we have selected for planting, a low maintenance, easy-to-care-for Ficus bonsai. Now almost extinct in Egypt and now universally used as an ornamentalplant. Common motif in art. The roots were used as fuel; the pith waseaten. The stem was used for sandals, boats, twine, boxes, mats, sails,cloth and most notably as a writing material. Popular easy to maintaininterior plant.
