The artist eventually earned his Masters Degree in painting and sculpture from the University of Maryland. Today he paints tirelessly in the studio of his Northeastern home. On trips to the seaside, Behrens always carries his camera, with which he records images to transform into paintings.
Combining his passion for travel with his famed artistic talents, he often returns to a favorite and inspirational locale--Lake Como, Italy.
