It's October 27, 1985, Game 7 of the all-Missouri World Series at Royals Stadium in Kansas City, and hometown hero George Brett has just connected for his fourth hit of the game, a 5th-inning single off St. Louis reliever Ricky Horton. SS Ozzie Smith and 2B Tommy Herr can't get to the ball, which is fielded by CF Willie McGee as speedster Willie Wilson races to third. Wilson and Brett eventually score as the Royals explode for six runs in the inning en route to a Series-winning 11-0 victory. The Royals' first World Championship comes after losing three of the first four games to St Louis. KC had been down 3-1 to Toronto in the ALCS.
